Technician – Microbiology

In the context of our present growth, we are seeking to fill a temporary position as Technician – Microbiology for Laval Plant.


Reporting to the Supervisor of the microbiology laboratory, the microbiology technician ensures the management and execution of quality control analyzes (raw materials, finished products, stabilities, packaging materials); Equipment validation and qualification activities as well as the environmental program of the plant and monitoring of the plant’s systems analysis (purified water, compressed air).


• Ensure compliance and updating of documentation related to good laboratory operations;

• Analyze and process investigations, deviations, OOS and OOT;

• Coordinate and / or execute laboratory activities: sampling, analyzes, calibrations, validations;

• Write protocols and reports of method validations and instrument qualifications;

• Write and review methods and procedures;

• Ensure permanent liaison with operational departments and internal clients;

• Approve orders.



• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, pharmacy or biological sciences

• 3 years of experience in quality control – microbiology laboratory

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical production

• Knowledge of Canadian and international GMP / GLP standards

• Excellent technical knowledge and laboratory instruments
