Human Resources Manager

This is a Full-time position in Laval, QC posted October 4, 2017.

Manages and oversees the human resources function for a corporation in the food and beverage distribution industry. The HR Manager will be responsible for: Organizational Development, Change Management, Training, Pay Equity, Staffing, Conflict Management, Performance Management, Compensation, Benefits, Health and Safety As well as Labour Relations. Supervision of two Human Resources Advisors.


  • Acts as an advisor to Managers on Human Resource issues;
  • Ensures compliance and enforcement of human resource management and compensation laws, standards, procedures and rules;
  • Acts as a point of contact for staff with respect to policies and practices related to pay, vacation, holidays and other working conditions;
  • Leads and participates in the development of new corporate policies;
  • Recruitment initiatives (recruitment, selection, interviews);
  • Responsible for various files; CSST, long-term disability, disciplinary leave, medical leave;
  • Proposes an annual training plan in accordance with Bill 90;
  • Provides training programs to promote staff retention and development;
  • Collaborates with the Payroll group (benefits, remuneration, transfers, new employees, terminations);
  • Drives and conducts necessary follow-up with managers to ensure employee performance evaluation are completed;
  • Recognition program manager; Provides both efficient and timely access to records for the individuals concerned and the maintenance of confidentiality of the content; Participates and monitors various internal human resources management programs;
  • Contributes to the review and update of job descriptions and, upon request, collaborates in the drafting of new descriptions;
  • Manages company social events;
  • Other related duties.


  • 5 years related experience
  • Experienced team manager
  • Fluently bilingual (French-English), both written and spoken 
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
