Berger Levrault Canada

The Canadian branch of the Berger-Levrault group is currently employing more than 110 individuals in three locations throughout Quebec: Quebec city, Laval and Blainville. The branch is constituted of local companies possessing a strong knowledge of the economical fabric as well as an expertise in the public and educational fields.

Berger-Levrault Canada designs, develop and distribute managing software for pedagogy, HR and payroll, financial and material as well as documentary management purposes through its product range COBA and SOFE.


Job description

Under the supervision of the first director of sales and business development, the employee will undertake the following responsibilities:

–          Participation in the division’s sales development

  • Assist in the identification and prioritization of the markets and the target audience; develop strategies to perform analysis and prospection of potential clients;
  • Promote the product range through visits, phone calls, product presentations and demonstrations;
  • Represent the company during symposiums, congress or any event with promotional aspects;
  • Establish and maintain business relations with both current and potential clients;
  • Propose strategies designed to promote our products to our clients; set up sales growth plans;
  • Ensure a good understanding of customer needs and advise them accordingly;
  • Document the business opportunities and leads in the SalesForce software and insure its daily updates;
  • Provide regular follow-up to existing clients in order to allow subsequent sales and ensure that products meet the client’s expectations and development;

–          Work alongside our product specialists, marketing and sales teams;

–          Assist to prepare sales projections during the annual budget preparations.

Required skills

– College or university education (sales, marketing) or corresponding experience;

– 5 years’ pertinent experience as a business development representative or similar in the ERP software field;

– Concrete experiences and results in sales situations;

– A good knowledge of the municipal and educational fields in Quebec are appreciated;

– Full proficiency in the use of computers and the ability to use relevant software applications;

– Bilingual abilities in oral and written forms are required; you are able to converse and write both in English or French languages;

– Frequent travelling;

– Valid driving licence and vehicle are required;
