This is a Contract position in Laval region, QC posted October 9, 2017.

Please take notes that this position is based Laval Distribution Center 4141 Highway 440 West, H7P 4W7 near Curé-Labelle.

Work Schedule :Sunday toThursday starting at 10pm Responsible for the timely and accurate daily loading of customer orders into our delivery trucks, as well as handling non-pallet items such as furniture along the same guidelines. Responsibilities: Comply with all company policies and procedures. Maintains general cleanliness of the shipping area, common areas, and other areas as assigned according to company standards. Ensure the proper loading of delivery trucks/trailers in a neat and orderly fashion. Ensure that delivery trucks/trailers are loaded with consideration given to load balancing so as to ensure that the trailer is safe and road worthy. Required to load cases onto shelves within the delivery truck in a safe manner which ensures no damage to the shipping carton or to the product enclosed. Required to build cases on pallets in a safe manner which ensures no damage to the shipping carton or to the product enclosed. Required to wrap the pallet in a manner which ensures that the boxes on the pallet will not collapse in transit. Responsible for informing management of any maintenance issues regarding the equipment, common areas, the shipping area, and the general warehouse area. Prioritizes and processes customer orders on night shift, ensuring truck departure timelines are met. Sorts and loads customer orders by route and stop sequence number identified on shipping label. Performs basic housekeeping in assigned areas of warehouse Adheres to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties Daily interaction with co-workers, Warehouse Management Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: Prior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift and pallet jack helpful. Skill Requirements: Ability to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment. Need to have good math, writing and reading skills. Detail-oriented Math skills Good judgment Problem-solving skills Limited data entry skills Able to listen to verbal instructions Ability to recognize process improvement opportunities and make recommendations Demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skills Must be dependable and demonstrate the ability to read and follow directions Must be a team player Physical Demands/Working Conditions Work requires moderate physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity. While performing duties of this job, employee will regularly sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch. Employee may lift, lower, carry product up to a maximum of 50 pounds by hand. Require physical effort associated with using RF scanners to enter information. Works in a warehouse environment. Using proper safety procedures will eliminate any potential hazards. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
