Roles and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Vice-President of Research and Development, the Project Manager is the first and most important contact regarding all technical and commercial aspects of the projects they are assigned. They are assigned to one or more clients and must monitor all of the projects concerning these clients. They must maintain a good relationship and effective communication with their clients throughout the project.


  • Promote teamwork by working closely with the sales representatives, the internal product engineering group (processes, industrialization, quality), the mould project manager and the R&D group (optical design, metrology, application and rheology);
  • Coordinate the resources allocated to the projects. Make sure that the action plan covers all of the necessary phases and that for each action there is a manager, a clear objective and a reasonable deadline;
  • Plan each phase of the project, from submission to production, following the steps in each client’s quality manual;
  • Ensure production follow-up. Manage client requests based on internal and external constraints;
  • Manage communications. Analyze and synthesize all relevant information. Maintain the flow of information and communication necessary to produce the product and ensure the success of each project phase (external and internal);
  • Conduct all internal meetings related to the projects and ensure follow-up;
  • Conduct all meetings, video/web conferences and/or conference calls with clients;
  • Know, respect and follow the automotive industry’s project management requirements (APQP);
  • Perform other related tasks requested by the immediate supervisor.
