We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Laval!
Do you have a university degree in accounting?
Do you have at least 3 years experience in general Accounting?
If so, this is the role for you!
Main tasks of the Accountant:
Oversee the recording of daily remittances and deposits into the accounting system and apply them to associated invoices (checks, wire transfers, credit cards)
Follow up on missing remittance information and payment backup documentation
Issue credit notes and file all supporting backup
Assist with the research and resolution for payment discrepancies and deductions
Participate in the rollout of automation projects (remittances, debits/credit memos, etc.)
Help implement and maintain internal processes and controls for accounts receivable
Ad hoc collections and credit efforts
Support with the re-invoicing of trade supplier charges to customers
Follow up on invoice discrepancies with appropriate stakeholders
Conduct data gathering and analysis for month end close
Help report required information and payment obligations to governmental bodies
Requirements for the Accountant:
University degree in accounting
3 years’ experience in general accounting (collections, cash application, deductions, A/P)
Knowledge and experience in E-Commerce, Dropship, and Wholesale (asset)
Microsoft Office suite, mainly Microsoft Excel
Bilingual French & English
Salary: 60.00-70.00
