Assistant Controller

Do you like to do bank reconciliation and perform various accounting tasks? If so continue reading. My client has been a large car dealership near Laval for over 30 years with three branches in the area. He is looking for an assistant controller to manage financial inflows and outflows in these three branches. Possibility of becoming a controller in his career path.

Tasks :
Supervised Canadian bank reconciliation for three branches;
Do the US bank reconciliation;
Verify and sign QST checks (SSAQ)
Supervise customer refunds, paid-outs and purchases at the door;
Make check stops (internet bank account);
Make bank transfers for car purchases and others;
Follow up with First Canadian for the account receivable;
Write for payroll
Prepare GST & QST reports and remittances, tire tax and insurance tax
Make journal entries;
Output the F&I report to calculate the guarantee percentage;
Take out bank charges and account statements for each branch;
Make the prepaid and immobilization table;
Collaborate with branches to answer various questions;
Maintain a petty cash system;
Perform the reconciliation of vehicles to be paid (inventory and rental);
Compile reports and participate in special projects on request;
Perform other tasks as required and directed by management.

Ideal candidate:
Minimum 3 years of experience as assistant controller
Minimum of one year of experience in a dealership (mandatory)
DEC or BAC in accounting/finance. Experience can make up for training.

Terms :
Full-time, permanent position
Schedule from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 16:30.
