Sales Representative Ottawa Gatineau


This is a Contract position in Laval, QC posted August 2, 2022.

Under the responsibility of the Business Development Manager, the position holder fulfills the responsibilities linked to sales and representation of his territory.

Main tasks and responsibilities of the position:

  • Is responsible of the territory growth, sales budget and business management of the designated territory, consistent with corporation objectives through special presentations of current and new products on the market.
  • Is responsible for representing the company with various potential customers (distributors, consulting engineers, industrials, architects, installers).
  • Is responsible for product training, communications with clients regarding technical matters on products, does complaint resolution and influences buying decisions of the customers.
  • Is responsible to present a written report to the management on the activities of the territory
  • Does cold call activities or market solicitation on a regular basis.
  • Responsible to provide company with feedback on field testing of new or prototype formulas.
  • Participates in the development of new products with the Product Managers.
  • Does any other related tasks.

Requirements for this position:

  • High School Diploma and 5-year experience in sales, customer service in a similar industry and environment, in product installation or in an engineering/Architectural specification role
  • Bilingual spoken and written (French and English)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Outlook
  • Knowledge of industry standards
  • Autonomy and adaptation capacity
  • Courtesy and discernment
  • Mathematical aptitudes and technical writing
  • Communication and negotiating skills
  • Perseverance
  • Can work under pressure
  • Valid driver’s license
