Head Office – Payroll Coordinator (Temporary – 6 months) – Montreal/Laval (Work from home available)

Your role at a glance:

Are you known for your thoroughness and experience in a payroll department? Are you familiar with the ADP system and looking for a challenging career? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you in the Human Resources Department at Nordia’s head office in Laval.

 

As a Payroll Coordinator, you will play an essential role in the production of payroll for over 5000 employees, unionized and non-unionized, across Canada. This temporary mandate of 6 months with the possibility of working from home and prolongation is the ideal opportunity for anyone with an eye for detail who wants to join a friendly and dynamic team.

 

Here’s what your day will look like

 

In this role, you will:

  • Collect useful information for the payroll production every two weeks, such as new hires, transfers, terminations, salary and status changes, etc.;
  • Complete the payroll cycle every two weeks;
  • Produce and submit records of employment electronically to Service Canada;
  • Produce and update various reports following Government requests;
  • When needed, answer employee’s questions related to the payroll department.

Here’s what you need to join the team:

  • Experience with the payroll system ADP;
  • Bilingualism (French and English), required;
  • Ability to travel and come work at the centre (if necessary).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Minimum of 1 year in a payroll service;
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Canadian Payroll Association course, completed;
