Technology Alignment Manager (TAM)

The goal of the TAM is to adopt standards and best practices for our clients’ IT environment. The TAM is a true proactive service of standardization through best practices. The goal is to reduce reactive issues, identify technical risks and provide long-term planning.

Duties include:

• Develop and maintain technical knowledge of the client’s environment (including hardware, software and cloud services).
• Perform regular proactive services as a technical lead.
• Ensure compliance with best practices and submit recommendations to VCIO.
• Identify technical risks and resolve issues to submit recommendations.
• Check centralized service tools, monitor and ensure configurations are working properly.
• Review reactive tickets to determine if upgrades or changes are needed to reduce reactive support.
• Write remote and onsite technology alignment reports for managed customers.
• Work with internal teams to create and update technical standards to reduce customer risk and reactive support time.
• Keep up to date on new technologies, participate in MicroAge sponsored training initiatives, maintain personal certification requirements and obtain manufacturer certifications related to the business environment as required by management.
• Maintain relationships with vendors.
• Perform any other duties related to the position.

Requirements:

• University degree in computer science, information science, or related field is preferred or equivalent experience.
• Three to five years of field experience in customer-facing technology sales or in an advisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of technology best practices, escalation procedures, organizational processes and MSP practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
• Ability to identify key IT infrastructure components as they relate to the client’s business objectives.
• Good knowledge of technology trends that may have an impact on the client.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to make presentations to clients and interact with technical resources.
• Good knowledge of IT: networks, virtualization, Windows environment, security, Microsoft 365, backups, etc.
• Autonomous, creative, enthusiastic and motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
