Located in Laval, QC. – one of our clients is a small subsidiary of a European group.
Today, they are looking to add a supplier/buyer to their team.
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the following are the responsibilities of the position:
Analyze the needs for finished products or components and perform the appropriate actions in terms of supplies.
Control the stock level of product families by applying established policies and procedures.
Maintain relationships with suppliers and on multiple aspects; purchase price, delivery time, quality, etc.
Interact with other departments; customer service, sales, reception, accounting, etc.
Optimize purchasing costs and acquisition times.
With the assistance of the resource persons, participates in the resolution of problems of quality, delivery, deadline, payment or other situations affecting the orders under his control.
Complete, maintain and compile tables, spreadsheets, graphs, registers or other administrative documents required for making decisions relating to the organization.
Collaborates in the establishment of new standards or new processes leading to the improvement of activities.
Performs any other task related to his field of activity.
A DEC or BAC in purchasing-supplies or other relevant training. All combinations of training and experience will be considered.
Experience in coordinating activities related to supply chain management.
Experience with integrated systems; knowledge of SAP is an asset
Good knowledge of Excel software and Office suite.
Ability to use recognized management techniques and developed communication skills
Ability to create dashboards: an asset.
French and English are required for the position (oral and written).
The candidate sought must be organized and methodical in these tasks. Good stress management and an ability to find solutions quickly are required.

Commitment to a professional program in supply chain management (P.G.C.A.) is an asset.
