Located in Laval, Quebec – one of our clients is a Canadian retail business. With the acquisition of new companies and the increase in activity, they created the position of Procurement Director.
Reporting to the Vice President of Supply Chain, here are the responsibilities of the role:
Supervises the work of the household appliance planning team of the various Group entities and the various Group warehouses
Make sure to have the optimal stock level to support sales
Oversees the operational relationship with the various suppliers: performance, process change, compliance with standards
Manages inbound flow operations, including customs clearance and optimizes their costs
Support the product team in the execution of supplier agreements and define sourcing strategies
Defines and animates operational performance routines internal and external to the planning department
Develop and implement processes and procedures to support and improve procurement operations.
Develops the necessary cross-functional relationships with all of its internal customers
Animate the Sales teams to improve the accuracy of sales forecasts
Develop and implement processes and procedures to support and improve sales forecasts
Bachelor’s degree in administration, operations management or supply chain
Have a minimum of 7 years of experience in managing multi-site logistics with budgetary responsibilities, ideally in the retail sector
Minimum relevant experience of 5 years as a supply manager
Excellent command of supply chain concepts
Knowledge of the Dynamics NAV ERP system or any MRP system (an asset)
Very good command of English both written and spoken
