Production Planner

We are assisting one of our clients in the agri-food sector in their search for a Production Planner for their warehouses located on the North Shore.

Under the supervision of the Logistics Director, you will be responsible for planning and optimizing production and ensuring the supply between their warehouses.

Job description is as follows:

– Performs production scheduling and establishes
production schedules, taking into account forecasts and
forecasts and products on order by resources;
– Establish the short and long term production plan;
– Create daily and long term work orders;
– Update product and project BOMs in the system;
– Reduce overages and stock-outs by optimizing inventory
management
– Print and distribute the production schedule
(pre-weighing, mixing and packaging areas), work orders
work orders (packaging and blending) and labels for bulk
bulk containers;
– Coordinate with the production team, a rigorous follow-
up of the priorities;
– Inform customer service of any potential delays
– Work in close collaboration with the different departments
– All other related tasks.

– College diploma (DEC) or university degree (BAC) in
in Operations and Production Management (OPM) or
equivalent.
– Minimum of five (5) years experience in a similar position
preferably in the food industry
– Knowledge of HACCP, GFSI or SQF standards, an asset
– Excellent organizational skills
– Good communicator
– Strong analytical skills
– Flexibility and adaptability
– Thoroughness and meticulousness
– Fluency in spoken and written French
