Business DevelopmentWe’re looking for a self-starting Business Development Executive to generate new business, working with some of the world’s biggest banks, brokers and hedge funds.

Candidates must have appropriate Financial Market experience to represent and sell our services.

After proven success in the UK and USA, we are now looking to grow our sales team so that we can expand our reach to more key markets in Europe and the rest of the world.WHO WE ARE: newsquawk helps traders by providing an unbiased real-time audio and text feed which relays and contextualises market-moving information.

We are very well respected in the industry, with specific audio news channels for equities, forex, fixed income and commodities.

We help our clients who would otherwise be overloaded with information that is surplus to requirements.Our service runs 24 hours a day, from Sunday night through Friday evening to ensure subscribers are well covered.

Our regular fundamental and technical briefings are posted several times through each trading session (we cover Europe, US and APAC).

We publish ad-hoc research pieces preparing traders for future events, including central bank meetings, company earnings and elections.

We also keep an eye on what the analyst community is saying, and we provide updates when banks adjust price targets on major assets.

We also report major trades that are being put through in the market to help traders understand how larger traders are positioning and how flow is affecting pricing.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: As a Business Development Executive you will be a driving force behind new business in untapped markets.

You will be expected to forge strong relationships with potential customers to progress them through the sales cycle.

You will also be expected to understand the industry and have existing contacts across the financial community including tier one investment banks, brokers, hedge funds, and asset management, and to leverage and effectively demonstrate the benefits of newsquawk.You will oversee the entire sales cycle, from the qualification of leads, through running meetings and putting together proposals right up to negotiations and signing contracts, and ensuring customer retention.

You will work closely with the Head of Sales and wider sales team to ensure newsquawk is the obvious choice for traders across the globe.You will work collaboratively with fellow sales colleagues to identify new target markets, share market intel and best practices.WHO WE ARE AFTER:> Experience You have industry experience in an outbound B2B closing role, managing the full sales cycle.> People person You pride yourself on your people skills, including your ability to build trust over the phone, over email, and face to face > Obsessive about learning You love learning new information and take proactive steps to educate yourself on what’s happening in the industry, and how you can perform better in your role.
